In this work, Guillaume Caoursin (d.1501)recounts the history of Rhodes beginning with the siege of 1480. The book goes on to describe a devastating earthquake which hit the island as well as the visit of Prince Zizim to the Grand Master of the Order of St John. It is illustrated with 36 woodcuts showing scenes from the siege and other important events narrated in the text.
