The Greek philosopher Aristotle (384 - 322 BC) was one of the founding figures in Western philosophy. This volume includes two account of the life of Aristotle as well as his Physico Audito, Libri Octo. Also in this volume are works by: Aelius or Claudius Galenus (129 - c.200), a prominent Roman physician, surgeon and philosopher of Greek ethnicity; Philo Judaeus (20 BC - 50 AD), a Hellenistic Jewish Biblical philosopher who used philosophical allegory to fuse and harmonize Greek and Jewish philosophy; and Theophrastus (c.371 - 287 BC), a Greek philosopher and successor to Aristotle in the peripatetic school.
