This is a collection of the works of St Bernard (1090-1153) abbot of Clairvaux. The volume is composed of prayers, hymns and meditations on the spiritual life written by the French saint. Folios [2-17] contain the pymn of praise to St Bernard "De uita et moribus diui Bernardi ... carmen enchomiasticon" written by the Benedictine monk Teofilo Bona (d.1512), who also wrote under the names of Theophilus Brixianus or Philotheus Monachus.
